Messages: Everything at a glance

You can easily manage all types of requests in the Messages section.

To view your message overview, select "Messages" in the top right corner of your account. Here you can access all conversations with potential customers interested in your products and services, and respond directly to incoming requests.

A distinction is made between two types of conversations:

  • Conversations initiated when you respond to a request on the Request Hub
  • Conversations initiated by buyers who contact you directly ("Information requests")

Conversations via the Request Hub

On the Request Hub, buyers submit Requests for Quotes, which you can review and respond to with an offer if you are interested. Responding to a request automatically creates a conversation in your Messages section, clearly labelled for easy identification.

Direct conversations ("Information requests")

In addition, buyers may contact you directly through your company profile or product detail pages. In these cases, a direct conversation - referred to as an "Information request" - will appear in your Messages section. These requests often indicate genuine interest in your offerings, so it is important to provide a response, even if you are not interested. Prompt replies foster trust and enhance the visibility of your company profile and product listings.

If you are not interested in a request, you can either

  • use the ‘Decline this request’ button
  • or send a written rejection.

Tip: Respond to all requests promptly to increase your visibility on wer liefert was (wlw) by maintaining a strong Response rate and Response time.
