Messages: Everything at a glance

You can easily manage all types of requests in the message area.

To access the message overview, click on ‘Messages’ in the top right-hand corner of your account. Here you will find all requests from potential customers who are interested in your products and services and can reply directly to incoming messages. A distinction is made between two types of requests: Requests for Quotes and information requests.

Requests for Quotes

Requests for Quotes are requests from buyers who specifically want information about prices, specifications and delivery conditions for your products. These requests are checked by wer liefert was (wlw) and forwarded to suitable suppliers. If a request is relevant to you, click on ‘Interested’ and reply immediately. If not, simply select ‘Not interested’.

Information requests (direct messages)

Information requests come directly from interested buyers who have contacted you via your company profile or your products.

Whether Requests for Quotes or information requests (direct messages) - everything is clearly structured and efficiently organised. Using the filter function on the left-hand side, you can easily filter by Requests for Quotes and information requests (direct messages).

Under ‘Unanswered’ you will find all messages that are waiting for a response from you.

You can do this if you are not interested in a request:

For Requests for Quotes:

  • If you are unable or unwilling to respond to the request, please reject it by clicking the "Not interested" button.
  • In this case, please do not send a written rejection.

For information requests, you can:

  • use the ‘Decline this request’ button
  • or send a written rejection.
Note: If you reject an enquiry, it has no negative impact on your ranking - on the contrary: a quick response always has a positive effect.

Before rejecting an enquiry, check what type it is. Requests for quotations are enquiries that are referred by wer liefert was (wlw) to several providers and are based on a product category. Make sure that the product categories you specify in your profile are correct in order to receive relevant enquiries.
