Why has my registration been declined?

In this article, you will find out the reasons why your registration might have been declined.

We review all newly self-registered suppliers on wer liefert was (wlw), considering various factors that influence the acceptance or rejection of a new registration. Below, you will find an overview of the main reasons why your registration might have been declined:

Product blocklist

If one of the products or services that meet the criteria of the product blocklist was listed on your company profile, your registration may have been declined. This includes:

  • Weapons

  • Erotic content

  • Drugs and prohibited substances

  • Animal-derived exclusion products (e.g. mink oil)

  • Tobacco products

  • Pharmaceuticals

  • Political content

  • Contents glorifying violence

Duplicate listing

Your account already exists on our online platform.

B2C

Your company sells to individual customers (B2C). Our platforms are dedicated exclusively to business-to-business (B2B) transactions.

Non-permitted country

Your company does not seem to operate in the DACH region. However, if your company is based in the European market, you may register on our partner marketplace, europages.

Dubious listing

There are concerns about the company's authenticity or legitimacy, which could indicate fraudulent or fictitious registration. Indicators include:

  • Non-compliance with legal website requirements
  • Technical irregularities on the website
  • Unreliable or unprofessional information

Non-verifiable

The company does not meet the requirements to remain online, or we cannot research sufficient information to ensure relevance to our platforms. Reasons include:

  • No online content found – no website provided, and no further information about products, services, or the company's industry.

  • No imprint (DACH region) – for companies based in Germany, Austria, or Switzerland, an imprint is mandatory.

  • No contact details (Europe) – absence of an imprint or privacy policy.

  • No commercial register entry – if the company must have an entry based on its legal form but no evidence is available.

  • Website not working – the website/domain is available but does not work, is under construction, or offers no clear information about products, services, or the industry.

Note: If you believe there may have been a mistake in our decision and wish to provide us some documents such as a trade licence or extract from the commercial register, please feel free to contact us at kundenservice@wlw.com
